It’s wonderful for children and adult also to play with clay.
It feels good to touch and it is fun to make it in different shapes.
We found a new recipe in the CHILDCRAFT book of “Make and Do” in the library of Terre de Paix.
So, you will need:
1 cup flour
½ cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ cup water
A mixing bowl
A mixing spoon
What you have to do:
1. Mix the flour and salt in the mixing bowl,
2. Slowly stir the water and oil,
3. Squeeze the mixture for about four minutes, until it feels like clay (if the mixture breaks apart while squeezing, moisten your hand with water before going in.
Then, the children can start to play
• Store it in an airtight container or plastic bag in the refrigerator after using it (if the clay becomes too sticky, squeeze more flour into it)
It was a very amazing experience for the kids and it did not require cooking. This was a fun activity for them and they played joyfully with it.
The material is stored in the refrigerator and whenever it is to be used, it is taken out in the morning.
I suggest you try it and you will see the difference.
